  • “My wife and I stayed at the Salt Island Inn for a week in summer 2021. We had a blast and both highly highly recommend! The property is absolutely exceptional and right on the beach. During low tide we walked out to the "Salt Island" which was fun. The location is perfect and it is literally steps from the water- we enjoyed sunset after sunset on the back patio. The house itself was super comfortable and had lots of spaces to hang. It had all the "extras" we needed like a full kitchen, lots of bathrooms, plenty of linens, beach chairs, kayaks, a ping pong table. Very clean and tidy! Fran and Steve were friendly hosts and we will be back!”

The opportunity to either walk or kayak during low tide to explore the area waters was so spectacular. I made it my daily ritual. Everything you need in the kitchen, with an open floor plan makes entertaining and cooking up something special very easy.   • We stayed in this lovely Connecticut water front property on two occasions and I found it to be perfect in every way. The house character is typical CT beach cottage with lots of exposed wood that has been very tastefully renovated. The Salt Island Inn is the most magical vacation rental I can imagine. It’s positioned very close to the water with island views and a perfect southern exposure affording daily sun rise and sun sets each spectacularly different. When relaxing at The Salt Island Inn, you feel like you’re on a ship and there’s really no need to leave once you arrive with your provisions as it has a great kitchen and dining space with wonderful water views and a laundry! When I’m on vacation I like getting up early for a walk and beach walking is magnificent here as all you do is walk out the back door and you’re on the beach. In addition, there is a coffee shop, nice restaurant, package store and gas station within walking distance that comes in handy! We are really looking forward to spending our family vacation there this year and the family is excited about utilizing the water toys with no beach travel time or pass required.
