The Salt Island Inn boasts 4 gracious bedrooms each equipped with fresh linens, fluffy pillows, Roku TVs, king size beds, and separate A/C units, including a master suite with a private bath. One of the bedrooms has 2 extra long twin beds which easily convert to a king size bed upon request. There are two additional bathrooms, one on the second floor where you can luxuriate in the vintage claw foot tub and one on the first floor which includes a laundry room. Enjoy panoramic views of the water from the expansive first floor living space. Relax in the cozy living room equipped with a workspace and a gas fireplace, prepare delicious food in the kitchen featuring stainless appliances and a dishwasher and, savor your meals at the dining table overlooking the Long Island Sound.

The family room has a 50 inch Roku TV with plenty of comfortable seating. In the adjoining den, you will find an intimate setting complete with four relaxing swivel rocking chairs and a variety of family games and an additional workspace.

The Great Outdoors

Outside on the terrace there is a Weber gas grill, concrete dining table and conversation seating along with a gas fire pit. On the lower level/garage you will find a full size ping pong table, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and floats, and plenty of outdoor toys/games. An additional fridge, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, and cozy blankets for cool evenings are available. There is an outdoor shower.

This house has a maximum capacity of 8. One week minimum reservation during the summer season. No pets. No smoking.

The landscape at the Salt Island Inn is everchanging as the tide comes in and out every six hours. Enjoy the excitement of the water rising up to the sea wall during high tide or grab a kayak and enjoy the Long Island Sound! During low tide, play on an expansive and inviting sand bar or walk out to Salt Island and visit the wildlife and take long walks on the beach.

Find lots of delicious restaurants, visit nearby Hammonasset State Beach & Park, the Stewart McKinney Wildlife Preserve or shop at the outlets and enjoy all the shoreline has to offer. Of course, you can simply relax on the terrace and take in the sea air and the spectacular views as you watch the tide go in and out.
